WoW: Corruption effect Infinite Stars will be weakened by 25 percent

In a hotfix that should have been applied to the live servers by now, the developers have reduced the Infinite Stars spoilage effect by 25 percent. No wonder, since the effect alone accounted for a good portion of the total damage for many classes. The nerf affects all spoil ranks.

While Blizzard has removed the titan-forged system from the game for the time being, which spoil effects you receive is also random and can either be a big win or lead you straight to Mother to remove the effect. In addition to rolling the effect itself, when you receive it, you also roll the dice to determine which of the three ranks the spoil effect has. The higher the rank, the more damage Infinite Stars does, for example. The rank also determines how much corruption the item has.
